- Got to the online shop: https://shop.intertabac.de/webshop/55/legitimation
- On the webpage, and in case you haven't registered to Intertabac in the past, click on "I do not have an account yet" and register youurself
- If you have been to Intertabac in the past, input your email address and use the "forgot password" function (as Intertabac has changed its ticketing platform partner, this is a tandard procedure
- You will be asked to upload a documet for legitimation: please use the invitation letter attached
- Once you have created or re-activated your account, login again on this page: https://shop.intertabac.de/webshop/55/tickets
- Here, you will reach the ticket page: On the top, in the "promotion code" tab, enter the code:
- Select 1 permanent pass
- Click on "next"
- Enter your personal details
- Click "next": Your registration is complete
- You will now receive a confirmation and the ticket via email
- This is the most commonly used mode of transport in the city.
- Lines are identified by numbers starting with "U", such as U70, U74, U75, U76, U77, U78, U79.
- Many lines run underground in the city center and above ground in the suburbs.
- U45 and U46 are key lines that stop at Westfalenhallen, where major events like trade fairs are held (InetrTabac InterSupply)
- The S-Bahn connects Dortmund to surrounding cities and the Ruhr region.
- S1 runs from Dortmund to Düsseldorf via Bochum and Essen.
- Dortmund Hbf (central station) is a major S-Bahn and regional hub.
- These are faster trains connecting Dortmund with other cities in NRW.
- Services like RE1, RE3, RE6, RE11, etc., stop at Dortmund Hbf.
- Good option for traveling to and from Düsseldorf, Cologne, Essen, Hamm, or Münster.
- Buses fill in gaps in the U-Bahn network, especially in residential and suburban areas.
- Operated by DSW21, routes are numbered (e.g., 440, 452, 470).
- Frequent and reliable, with real-time displays at stops.
- Use the DSW21 app or VRR app to plan trips and buy digital tickets.
- Ticket types include:
Single ticket (Einzelfahrschein)
Day pass (TagesTicket)
Group tickets
Weekly/monthly passes (useful for longer stays)
- Ticket machines and apps accept cards and cash.
- Tickets are valid across different transport types within the same zone.
